CERTIFICATE IN CLINICAL NUTRITION AND DIETETICS
COURSE OVERVIEW
Clinical nutritionists and dietitians work in clinical settings,
often in one-on-one situations with both the inpatients and outpatients in assessing,
designing and implementing dietary strategies and nutritional therapies.
The main purpose is to address particular medical conditions which may include hypertension, diabetes etc.
Clinical nutritionists may also be called upon to come up with plans of action in situations where treatment is concerned
such as kidney dialysis, chemotherapy and Paediatric interventions.
Ram Training College is accredited by the Kenya Nutritionists and Dietitians Institute (KNDI) to train
Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics.
COURSE DURATION
Two (2) years full-time plus two (2) attachments/Clinical Placements at the end of each year in Sub-County Hospitals and County Referral Hospitals across the county.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- A person wishing to be admitted into a Certificate in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics
must satisfy the requirements set out by KICD and KNDI.
- The candidate must have obtained a minimum of D+ (PLUS) in KCSE.
